Cult Films Screenings in association with Viper Films is pleased to announce the production of Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II.

An in-depth and informative documentary revealing the secrets and stories behind the production of Clive Barker’s classic Horror films.

Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II contains interviews with a number of members of the cast including Barbie Wilde, Simon Bamford, Nicholas Vince and Oliver Smith about working with the legendary director Clive Barker.

The feature will also delve into the production process with stories from every corner of production from producer Christopher Figg to members of the Special Effects team including Geoff Portass amongst others.

As production begins there is the aim to secure interviews with Doug Bradley who played the iconic Pinhead character and ultimately Clive Barker himself.

Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II will be directed by Kevin McDonagh and written by Nicholas F. Helmsley and Gary Smart writer of More Brains! A Return to the Living Dead (2011)

Over the last year Cult Film Screenings (originally part of Back to the Theatre) has been building a reputation as a keystone for fans of Horror films with their regular screenings and Q&A events. Past events have included a screening of ‘The Return of the Living Dead’ with special guest Don Calfa and more recently ‘Manhunter’ & ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ with acting legend Brian Cox. In July 2013 they screened ‘Hellraiser’ and ‘Hellbound: Hellraiser II’ with special guests Kenneth Cranham, Geoff Portass, Nicholas Vince and Simon Bamford.

Now teaming up with Horror Film production company Viper Films to produce this never before covered part of horror film history is exciting for all involved and for fans of the Hellraiser franchise.

As the project develops updates on the website and social media will keep fans informed as to how the production develops including casting news and the eventual release of the documentary.
